In keeping with this Courtís goal of keeping the general public, attorneys, and our staff safe, the mediation program has temporarily modified its process to align with the guidelines and measures established by Governor DeWine and health officials to combat the spread of COVID-19.
The Courtís mediation referral and pre-mediation telephone conference or Zoom Meeting processes will remain the same, but all follow-up mediation contacts will be conducted by telephone or Zoom Meeting. During these mediations, parties and counsel will have a chance to speak with each other directly and have separate caucus conferences with the Mediation Attorney.
While the Ninth District values the benefits of meeting face-to-face to work to solve problems, we believe these temporary changes will allow us to continue to provide a quality mediation service, while promoting the health and safety of those participating in the process. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the Mediation Attorney at (330) 643-6452.
The Ninth District Court of Appeals offers mediation in civil cases. You can learn more about the Court's program by reading about Mediation in the Ninth District Court of Appeals and about the Court's Mediation Attorney.
