Clerks of Court

The territorial jurisdiction of the Ninth District Court of Appeals includes Lorain, Medina, Summit and Wayne counties.  According to Ohio law, the county clerk of courts also serves as the appellate clerk of courts in each respective county.  For example, the Summit County Clerk of Courts, who handles all the filings for the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, General Division, also manages all of the filings for appellate cases coming from any court in Summit County.

Do not send anything to be filed to the Court's Akron office.  Anything sent to the Court's Akron office will not be considered filed.  Loc.R. 13(C).
