The Honorable Nathan H. Manning
Judge Nathan H. Manning graduated from North Ridgeville High School. He then attended Denison University and received his Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School. Judge Manning previously served as a prosecutor for the city of North Ridgeville. He also served as a partner in a private law practice. At the same time, he served two terms in the Ohio House of Representatives and was completing his second term in the Ohio Senate when he was appointed to the Court. As a member of the Ohio General Assembly, Judge Manning promoted legislation to protect the rights of Ohio's most vulnerable people. He also worked to pass criminal justice reform legislation to both enhance public safety and to provide pathways for second chances. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his legislative work. Judge Manning is a lifelong resident of Lorain County. He has been involved in numerous community organizations including the North Ridgeville and Lorain County Chambers of Commerce and Genesis House in Elyria. Judge Manning is a member of the Akron, Lorain County, Medina County, Wayne County, and Ohio State Bar Associations.
